A: All of MDaemon''s settings are stored in text based files with .dat or .ini extensions. These files are located in the MDaemon\app\ directory.
1. If you backup your MDaemon server each night, then you are already able to restore MDaemon to its original configuration.
Note: You can configure MDaemon to automatically backup its configuration each night by going to Setup / Miscellaneous Options / Disk.
2. If you are not backing up the MDaemon server go to Windows Explorer and copy the MDaemon directory, example c:\mdaemon, to a network drive that is backed up or to a temporary directory that will be safe to back-up to.
3. If for some reason you have to restore MDaemon, all you have to do is reinstall MDaemon into its original directory, then copy the back-up directory, \MDaemon\, over the new install. MDaemon will now be restored.
